Consultation and Deposits
For new colour and blonding guests, a pre-consultation is encouraged. This allows you and Brittney to discuss your ideas and desired results before booking the appointment. A $50 deposit is required when booking on the consultation day. This deposit reserves your spot with the Stylist and will be used towards your appointment bill. It’s fully refundable if you give us at least 24 hours cancellation notice. We want to ensure you have a personalized and satisfying experience with us.
Brittney Helene Hair is by appointment only, ensuring that each client receives dedicated attention and personalized service. To book an appointment, contact us, and we’ll find a time that works for you. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional hair experience.
Preparing for Your Appointment
You are having clean and dry hair before your appointment is recommended to ensure the best results. We suggest washing your hair the day before and allowing it to fully dry before arriving at the salon. This helps us achieve the desired outcome for your hair.

What to Wear
While we take precautions to prevent colour spills, it’s best not to wear white or anything with a collar or formal attire to your appointment. We want to ensure that your clothing remains free from potential colour stains.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that unexpected emergencies may arise, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you cannot make your appointment. With proper notice, we’ll be more than happy to reschedule your appointment for the next available date that works for you.
You can park off Tiffin Street behind the buildings, in front of the Farmhouse restaurant, or on Gowan Street at the Allendale station. We want your salon visit to be convenient and stress-free.
We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and even AMEX. However, please note that we may only sometimes have changes available.
At Brittney Helene Hair, Client satisfaction is always top of mind from when you arrive at your appointment until your treatment or service is finished. We genuinely strive to help you relax and feel rejuvenated. However, in the rare instance that you or the Stylist is not satisfied with the result, further discussions can be had on a case-by-case basis, and additional adjustments can be booked.
Proper hair care is essential for maintaining healthy and beautiful hair. We recommend washing your hair the day before your appointment. Additionally, shampooing your hair every 2-3 days is ideal to prevent drying out the hair and overproduction of oils by the scalp. Training your hair to reduce the need for daily washing can be achieved by using a good clarifying shampoo, shampooing twice, and using dry shampoo on alternate days.
Importance of Using Professional Products
The shampoo and conditioner you use can make a significant difference in the health and appearance of your hair. Drugstore and generic brands often contain fillers and may not be pH balanced for the human scalp. We always recommend using professional-grade, pH-balanced hair cleansers for optimal results.
Deep Conditioning and Hair Growth
Deep conditioning is beneficial for maintaining healthy hair. The frequency of deep conditioning depends on the condition of your hair. For relatively healthy hair, once-weekly deep conditioning can be done. If your hair is damaged, twice-weekly deep conditioning can help restore moisture and vitality.
Water Quality and Hair
The water you use can impact the look and feel of your hair, hard water. Depending on where you live, hard water can cause hair discoloration, dullness, or leave deposits on the hair. To counteract these effects, we recommend using a clarifying or balancing shampoo to maintain the integrity of your hair.
