Brittney Hélène Mofford

Barrie Hair Salon - Brittney Helene Hair

My name is Brittney Hélène Mofford, and I started pursuing my passion of hairstyling 8 years ago. I studied locally at Georgian College which led me to my apprenticeship at Envy Hair Salon.

Over the years I met great people, learned to fine-tune my skills, and had a lot of opportunities for growth. Since September 2021, I have been enjoying working for myself under the umbrella of Salon Definition in Barrie, another professional hair studio in the Barrie area.

It is a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where I continue to bring my same passion to your hair each and every appointment, with a focus on clients feeling relaxed and rejuvenated when they leave my chair.

Your hair and your well-being are always top of mind! Your appointment will be a curated hair service. Including in depth consultations to discuss your hair goals, and tips and tricks on proper  hair maintenance.

I invite you to view my website and Instagram page where you will find photos, testimonials, and comments regarding happy clients and their services. I look forward to seeing you in my chair soon!

My Services

At Brittney Helene Hair, we believe in the power of consultation. All new color/blonding guests are required to have a pre-consultation, where Brittney will analyze the health, density, thickness, previous color, porosity, and other elements of your hair. This helps us to understand your hair better and provide the most suitable service for you.

Hair shampooing is recommended every 2-3 days. Washing daily can lead to the hair drying out, and the scalp overproducing oils, therefore, making the hair oily. Many times clients feel that because their hair becomes so oily they have to wash it the next day however, it could be due to daily washing since our scalp has hair follicles and when frequently washed the hair follicles are being stripped and goes into overdrive & creates more oiliness. What is recommended is to train your hair.

The best way to train your hair is first, to use a very good clarifying shampoo and shampooing twice, then condition. Secondly, using dry shampoo on days one and two will also help avoid the oils being noticeable for you to be able to push off your next wash as much as possible. Over time and the more you train your hair, the better the outcome, and the fewer oils will be produced.

100%. Drugstore and generic shampoo brands are filled with fillers, and water and often are not ph balanced to the human scalp which can be the cause of dry, oily, itchy, build up, and not properly cleaned scalp. We always recommend professional grade, ph balanced gently hair cleansers.

Absolutely! Both hard water especially can affect how the hair feels and even looks! Depending on where you live the severity may differ & can cause the hair to discolor, appear dull, or leave a deposit on the hair. To help avoid this, be sure to use a clarifying shampoo.
